Wind Power Integration
Reon Energy is the Wind Technology Expert, specializing in New & Refurbished Turbines from some of the best EU and Chinese partners. For the first time, we have introduced the next-generation Doubly-Fed Induction Generator (DFIG) wind turbines to Pakistan, unlocking new benchmarks in efficiency and affordability.
These advanced DFIG turbines offer 30–40% lower costs compared to similar-sized PMG models, 95% availability in low-wind seasons and up to 97% during peak months, enhanced power curve performance combined with premium O&M Services, ensuring long-term reliability while minimizing operational risk.
We have full-service capacity for:

Operations &
Maintenance
We enable wind power access where traditional turbines can’t reach—by integrating refurbished European wind turbines into urban, logistically constrained, or regulation-bound zones. These turbines are:
Installed, operated, and maintained by OEM-certified experts
Backed with complete spare parts support
Designed for challenging terrains
Ideal for medium-scale industries
Features

Hub height under 90m compliant
with airspace limitations

Unlike Solar, Wind Turbines operate
round-the-clock, reducing the
need for CAPEX on batteries

The profile for wind is very
complementary to Solar, as wind
picks up with the sun going down

Hybrid Integration Ready with Solar, Wind
& REFLEX™ – Reon’s Battery Energy Storage platform
that enables seamless Wind energy integration
in captive microgrids

Premium plus 10-Year O&M agreement
covering all major & minor replacements
ensuring risk and hassle-free operations

Captive Wind Power with Refurbished WTGs at Landhi
Problem: The site is constrained by Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) height restrictions due to proximity to Jinnah International Airport. Additionally, urban congestion and limited land availability posed logistics challenges for deploying utility-scale wind turbines typically rated at 6–7 MW.Root Cause: A leading textile company located near Landhi faced strict Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) height restrictions, urban congestion, and limited land availability—making it unfeasible to deploy conventional utility-scale wind turbines. Additionally, with summer peak loads reaching 25–26 MW, the company needed to boost its renewable energy share and improve fuel efficiency
Solution: The solution enhanced genset operational efficiency, prevented load shedding by balancing energy sources effectively, and reduced overall fuel consumption. This project offers a replicable, cost-efficient model for industrial zones with spatial and regulatory constraints, accelerating the shift to renewables.

Wind Integration at Soorty Enterprises – Unit 13, Nooriabad
The Challenge:
Soorty Enterprises (Pvt) Ltd plans to expand its renewable footprint at Nooriabad by adding a 4.8 MW wind turbine (WTG) to its existing 2.6 MW solar system. The Solution:
A leading textile company located near Landhi faced strict Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) height restrictions, urban congestion, and limited land availability—making it unfeasible to deploy conventional utility-scale wind turbines. Wind Integration at Lucky Cement - Nooriabad
The Challenge:
Lucky Cement Limited has heavily invested into renewables, amounting to 28.8MW of Wind Turbines and 31MW of Solar, in order increase its green energy contribution to more than 50%. However, considering a total load of ~60MW, this results in high variability and instability issues, forcing captive plant to run at lower loading efficiencies. The Solution:
REFLEX™ acts as the primary power source, working in Grid-Forming Mode, to stabilize the renewable energy sources, absorbing variability caused by cloud events and wind turbine output. The system will ensure maximum renewable contribution, avoid curtailment, and provide resilience in captive powerhouse operations
Reon has partnered with AlgoAPM®, a leading SaaS platform that turns operational data into actionable insights for wind asset performance. With 600 MW under management across Sweden, Turkey, Latvia, Estonia, and Pakistan, the platform enables proactive measures to reduce downtime and losses driving higher production, revenue, and profitability.
