Al Nasr, a subsidiary of Pak Kuwait Textile Ltd., was facing a daunting challenge with its complete reliance on gas gensets to meet its energy needs. The onset of gas shortages, combined with the surge in gas tariffs, made it increasingly difficult for the business to power its more than 84,000 spindles.
But, in 2019, Reon stepped in with a brilliant solution and installed a 1.69 MW solar power plant, breaking the shackles of dependence on gas and providing a source of clean and sustainable energy.
This solar powerhouse generates a staggering 2,520 MWh of energy annually, enabling Al Nasr to not only overcome the challenges posed by gas shortages and tariffs but also to take a giant leap towards a greener future.
